 NT Royal Commission publishes more submissions

The Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory has today published an additional seven submissions, bringing the total now publicly available to 88.

Submissions published today include those received from:

  • Lyn Byers
  • Children’s Ground
  • Frew Consultants Group
  • Yingiya Mark Guyula, Member for Nhulunbuy
  • Dr Damien Howard and Jody Barney
  • Intervention Rollback Action Group
  • Liman Center Yale Law School

The Commission has now published 88 submissions from 81 community groups, stakeholders, advocates, academics, government and non-government organisations with the consent of the authors.

“The Royal Commission thanks those who have contributed to the work of the Commission by sharing their insights the issues at play in the Northern Territory and across the areas of child protection and detention.

“These submissions contribute in an important way to the evidence and information we have gathered since August 2016” said Kirsty Windeyer, Official Secretary for the Royal Commission.

The Commission will continue to make submissions publically available ahead of the delivery of the Final Report on 17 November 2017.
