Detention of Children in the Northern Territory

 NT Royal Commission continues to publish public submissions ahead of Final Report

Additional public submissions have been published today by the Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory.

The Commission has now published 74 submissions on its website from 68 community groups, stakeholders, advocates, academics and non-government organisations.

Submissions published today have been received from:

  • Bushmob
  • Dr Peg Levine
  • Royal Australasian College of Physicians
  • SNAICC
  • The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists

“Public submissions help inform the Royal Commission’s understanding of the issues at play in the Northern Territory and across the areas of child protection and detention” said Kirsty Windeyer, Official Secretary for the Royal Commission.

“The Commission appreciates the time taken by so many individuals, organisations and community groups in contributing information, opinions and perspectives on these important issues”, said Ms Windeyer.

All submissions published are available on the Royal Commission website.
