 Public consultations in the NT on the protection and detention of children in the NT begin

The Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory invites all members of the communities across Alice Springs, Santa Teresa and Tennant Creek and surrounding regions to a community meeting to hear about the work of the Commission.

Commissioners Margaret White AO and Mick Gooda will be present at these meetings to answer questions and listen to what the community may wish to share.

The dates and locations of the community meetings are as follows:

  • Alice Springs: 2-4pm, Monday 26 September 2016, Gumtree Room, Chifley Hotel, 34 Stott Terrace, Alice Springs.
  • Santa Teresa: 10.00am-2.00pm, Tuesday 27 September 2016.
  • Tennant Creek: 2-4pm, Wednesday 28 September 2016, Karguru Centre, 65 Staunton St Tennant Creek.
